Charlotte Hudson and Leila Hackett: Two Left Hands
From candy-floss to condoms: Charlotte Hudson and Leila Hackett, who formed their comedy act only last year though pals since university, present a kaleidoscopic carousel of sharply observed sketch characters set in a ropey British holiday resort. From the clueless burlesque dancer to the vengeful clairvoyant, the girls bring faded seaside glamour to Edinburgh. Characters as bracing as a stroll on the promenade, yet as warming as the Fish Supper at the end of it. This is witty, inventive sketch comedy that packs a left-hand punch.

Wow! Leila, you are my 2nd cousin and I've only just heard about your act. I am in Edinburgh the same time as you... will make an effort to get to a performance - good luck! Brita Bevis, June 2007 |
