The Book Club
Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2006
Britain's most innovative and ground-breaking comedy show returns for a second year, after dipping its toes in the murky Fringe water last August. Since its first London show in January 2005, The Book Club has been a sell-out success, gained numerous critical plaudits, toured the country and recorded a pilot for Radio 4.
It's an hour of readings from peculiar novels and bizarre biographies, inspired accordion cover versions of pop music greats, odd characters, and live action comic book tales. Each week will be a brand new show, new books, new songs and if you're very lucky live Boggle, played with the whole audience.
