Really enjoyed the show, found Lick & Chew excellent. Hope to see more in the future
Antony Dwyer, August 2005
There is a great deal of good material in this show and Lick and Chew present it with a joyful glee that seems to lacking among some of the more cynical acts on the fringe. The show twisted and turned through many different characters - such as an obscenely brash Australian Tour guide or a cheesy wannabe actor waiter - and wry sketches. The two east end matriarchs desperately outdoing each other with their tales of woe was like Les Dawson meeting Dot Cotton. There were also some very funny songs - Charlotte Church singing not Like a Virgin but Like a Slapper and a spot on send up of the evil that is Jamie Cullum were my favourites. The show is perhaps a little long but is still one of the freshest things i've seen so far this year.
