I caught Stephen doing his 'warm up' for Edinburgh at the Courtyard Theatre Kings Cross. It was quite good, and at the end of the day he was stil working on the material. What I thought didn't work was the recurring figure of the obviously outrageous, stereotypical gay man. It was just like, "what's that all about?" It needed some intro to set the scene. On the plus side, the 'Cultured' African is a good comedy act which provides a neat vechile for Stephen to engage with the audience.

I have worked with Steve on the Graham Norton Show and that man has an amazing ability to make everyody cry with laughter. I have seen him compering shows and seen him in his own show at the Fringe 2003 and this man is a fantastic comic. A must see.
