Reginald D Hunter: I Said What I Said Perrier best
This is no ordinary comic. He is a man that has returned from the mountain with the gospel according to Reginald D. Hunter. Challenging, thought provoking and intelligently controversial.

Original Review:
Hunter is a confident, suave individual who certainly knows his trade. He is laid-back and appears comfortable in his own skin, which is the crux of this show. His anecdotal and autobiographical accounts of relationships, race and sex are all very poignant and endearing but also superficial, lacking any real insight. Hunter is clearly charismatic and attractive, as the excessive giggling from the horde of girls in the audience indicated, and being such a charmer is a useful trait for a stand-up. But he also displays a boyish vulnerability at times, probably adding to the sporadically bewitching nature of his act. His observations are universally recognisable, if a tad stifled, but also insular and slightly self-indulgent, leaving me feeling that this was like a therapy session, but with the audience as the therapist. |

Reg D Hunter is both funny and sexy - an underrated comedian in a shite venue. Jane Mackay, August 2002 |

Self-indulgent self-important self-satisfied narcissist. Review is spot-on, though I would have given no more than two stars on a good night. Jenny McLaggen, August 2002 |

Absolutely brilliant. I have seen a few comedians in my time and everyone including myself was transfixed. That was the quickest hour in my life. I don't know where the time went.Oh and he's quite sexy. Ruth Tetley, August 2002 |
