Dan Antopolski: The Presence
Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2002
Hold on to your heads, the triple Perrier award nominee tells it like it isn't in his third solo show: stand-up, music, gadgets - and, as always, the threat of substance.

Very very disappointing. An engaging bloke but just not funny enough to sustain an hour. Would be a great compere, though.

Highly over-rated. I didn't buy any of this act, he's got the 'presence' but very weak material.

Thought he was great. Not all get his style, but it was somthing different.

I though the show was bizarre, really enjoyed it but there was a distinct division in the audience between those who loved it and those who thought he was a mad prat.

The best there is. Brilliant connection with the audience. Love his smiley manner. He's at his peak. Imaginative stuff.

2001 fringe show was great, but this years doesn't cut the mustard. Too many bad jokes, pointless songs and the final piece on the flying carpet was appalling. At least he's not a hack, but perhaps he should aim for funny.

I saw him at Edinburgh in 2001, he was spot-on. Going this year and expect the same...
