I am a comic and I aspire to be Colin Murphy. I think the review is overly negative about the banter, maybe you caught it on a slower night. The night I was there, Colin dealt brilliantly with a woman in the front row who'd husband had ran off with a younger woman and several other punters. They way he managed to find an angle on everyone he engaged in banter with was top-notch and as stated the prepared material is also of the highest quality. Pure stand-up done very very well.
