Susan Morrison's life has been dominated by what some might call a hobby, but psychiatrists call an obsession. The object? A 46,000 tonne liner who went to her watery grave in 1912. This show is a look at the things that make people bore the arse off their families and friends. It's a look at why kings give up crowns, why people shouldn't be left with nothing to do and why Trekkies are cheats in the obsession game.

Susan Morrison admits she has a problem - she's obsessed with the ghost of a ship that sank 89 years ago.
And after running low on people to bore at parties, she decided to stage this Edinburgh show so she could share her - well, hobby would be too gentle a word for it - with complete strangers.
But being cornered by her doesn't seem so dreadful a prospect in the light of this enjoyable show, introduced by the delightfully funny Donna Krachan.
Morrison proves an easy raconteur, relating a slight but entertaining series of yarns about how this one single topic has dominated her life.
The ideas still need to be developed further, as the show never really gets to the heart of the obsession - it's more a series of self-deprecating gags about how you'd hate to be stuck in a car with her, rather than a real insight into the passion - but there is plenty here to enjoy.
And whatever you do, don't mention that film.

Edinburgh's The Stand is far too small a venue for Morrison's huge obsession, but she knows her stuff alright. Among the esoteric facts and probably a bit of fiction thrown in, Morrison had us as transfixed with her pet subject as she is. Unlike her subject matter, Morrison should not be afraid to travel with this act.
