Show Rating:Mark Walker: The Man Who Fell To Mirth rated 2/5

Walker starts his show with an uncannily impressive impersonation of Billy Connolly, proving that he certainly has an ear and a talent for accents.

Unfortunately, though, he flounders more when being himself, particularly when it came to off-the-cuff banter.

Otherwise, he is visually funny and is prolific in his material, which mainly consists of the usual family observations, and his story about childbirth was particularly amusing - although I suspect it would have been funnier and less annoying if he didn't rely so heavily on microphone sound effects.

All in all, though, his style is too old-fashioned, very much in the Bobby Davro mould, to make an impact.

Walker is very much The Man Who Fell Short Of The Mark.
