Jill Peacock is Glamorous Show type: Edinburgh Fringe 2001
Jill Peacock is Glamorous

She is both hilarious and an unusual beauty. She is also the only Scottish lesbian woman working in stand-up comedy today [apart from Rona Cameron].Jill should be commended for her groundbreaking work. As far as I'm concerned she is the Scottish dyke Victoria Wood, some of the material is reminiscent of Wood in her heyday. I hope the current pilot sitcom that she is working on for STV is a big success. Suggesting she is not funny is just sexist sour grapes!

Tips for future shows:
(1) Do not sit in the front row. She will pretend to fall off the stage and land on you. Uggghh!
(2) The stripping routine is truly vile. Another reason not to sit in the front row.
(3)Look out for the "I'll move the microphone stand so that you can see me" gag. Funny the first three times.
(4) Save yourself the effort and don't go at all.

Thank GOD! Couldn't agree more! We were given free tickets. And then we found out why. Repulsive.
