Laddish comic Andrew Maxwell demonstrates an innate gift for stand-up in this lively hour-long routine.

Naturally funny, this amiable Irishman rattles through his sharp and fast-paced material at almost breakneck speed - as if his mind is bubbling over with observations he can't wait to get out.

He thinks on his feet and will happily launch into spontaneous chat before returning to his prepared routines about everything from Edinburgh ghost tours to Brazilian women's arses.

And the amount of material that's obviously been written in the last month is clearly the product of a hard-working comic mind.

It's all delivered with an infectious enthusiasm, punctuated with Maxwell triumphantly shouting 'waahaay' and punching his arms in the air - a tic that admittedly does become annoying, if only slightly.

If you're seeking an accomplished hour of undiluted stand-up, you can't go far wrong with this bright young comic.
