Anna Keirle – Original Review

Note: This review is from 2004

Review by Steve Bennett

Daffy Cornish bumpkin Keirle has funny in her veins, with a disarming daftness and an endearingly babbling manner.

She's got a mountain of potential, and is, after a few short months on the circuit, well on the way to learning how to harness her unpolished, haphazard charm and the natural quirkiness of her native accent to impressive effect.

She bristles with fine, offbeat ideas and has plenty of funny lines, but the joy is in her unfocussed personality jumping around her home-spun rural stories with excitable enthusiasm.

Give her a couple of years and we could be looking at an emerging comedy star.
