Dylan – Original Review

Review by Steve Bennett

An entertaining character act, Dylan performs as a backward West Country yokel, complete with a ridiculously unattractive cut-off shirt and stupid hat.

The in-bred bumpkin is a comedy staple, but Dylan has brought new ideas - and utter believability - to his well-rounded creation. The breathless, pointless and demented anecdotes rattled off at machine-gun rate are particularly effective.

However, there's not yet enough good quality material to sustain him for the full duration of even the shortest of sets, which means the disturbing character doesn't live up to his substantial promise.

Yet there are enough good signs to suggest that Dylan will, one day, make for an impressive act. Just give it time
