Justin Moorhouse – Original Review

Note: This review is from 2001

Review by Steve Bennett

Brimming with confidence, Moorhouse exudes a likeable energy that could raise the dead - so a lethargic comedy audience proves little challenge.

His affable character has a certain old-fashioned charm, as his is the sort of personality which you instinctively trust to make you laugh - and he doesn't disappoint.

This is pub chat comedy at its best, as Moorhouse entertainingly recounts his tales and well-made observations.

The routine can be jeopardised by some over-familiar material - his escapades in Amsterdam, for example, throwing up little in the way of originality.

But when he sticks to the more distinctive material of which he is capable, Moorhouse is impressive indeed.
