Colin Murphy
Note: This review is from 2001
Murphy bounded into the show with a blast of energy and launched into some effortless audience banter, bringing a real camaraderie to the room as he made an instant connection with the sell-out crowd.
He touched on a myriad of subjects, and has the fantastic gift of being able to pick up on apparently mundane subjects and make them hilarious.
His well-observed routine about his obsession with class was exceptionally funny, thanks in no small part to the 'posh bloke' he managed to single out on the front row.
Murphy's eagerness and confidence demand that the audience sit up, listen and laugh - and laugh they certainly did.
