An audacious audition!

When Lost Voice Guy tried out for X Factor

comedyAppearing on a TV talent show has done wonders for Lost Voice Guy Lee Ridley.

But a previous attempt to impress Simon Cowell didn't quite go so well for the Britain's Got Talent champion.

For six years ago, the mischievous comedian – who can not speak let alone sing – tried out for X Factor.

He typed the lyrics to R Kelly's I Believe I Can Fly into his iPhone app, then stood back and mimed.

But no one got the gag, and he was ushered out of the audition room after delivering two verses.

'I could see straight away they were very confused when I walked in,' he has said of his experience. 'The look on their faces as I began to sing was priceless - especially as I started to sway along to the words as well.

'Unsurprisingly they rejected me without even raising a smile. In fact, they still didn't smile as I walked out and asked if it was because my voice had sounded too flat.'
