Louis CK is making tentative steps to get back into the comedy scene.

The comedian has not got back on stage since reports of his sexual misconduct emerged, but he was reportedly spotted in the Olive Tree restaurant, the comedians’ hotspot in New York, on Monday.

It is the eatery above the Comedy Cellar – the club that  featured in the title sequence of CK’s show Louie – and is where comedy royalty such as Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock often hold court.

Gossip website The Blast reports that CK was there for several hours after watching his friend, and sometime support act, Joe List, in the club.

The website says CK is ‘itching to get back on stage [but] worried about how people, including other comedians, will treat him’.

After several months of laying low, he has been snapped by paparazzi in New York.

Late last year five women, including four comedians, described how CK had either masturbated  in front of them or over the phone, or asked them if he could do so.

The comic admitted the claims – which have proved toxic to his career – but said he never showed women his 'dick without asking first’.
