Comic vows to gig nude if Bristol City win the cup

Mark Watson has vowed to gig in the nude if his beloved Bristol City win the Carabao Cup.

Just eight teams are left In the competition, formerly known as the League Cup, but Bristol are by far the outsiders, with Betfair offering 100/1 for them lifting the silverware.

But there is precedent – Gary Lineker appeared on Match of the Day in only white boxer shorts after Leicester City won the Premiership in 2015, defying odds of 5000/1.

Watson – a current contestant on Taskmaster and recently seen on The Island with Bear Grylls –  made his vow on Twitter today, saying:

If City do pull it off, there will be plenty of witnesses to Watson’s gig, as the Bristol Hippodrome has a capacity of almost 2,000.

The draw for the quarter finals takes place at 4pm today. Still in the running are Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Leicester, Bournemouth and West Ham.
