Madonna makes her NY stand-up debut

Stand-up fans in New York got a surprise last night when Madonna took to the stage of the Comedy Cellar.

She was brought out by her friend Amy Schumer on a star-studded night that also included Aziz Ansari, Louis C.K. and Jon Stewart.

There’s no word on how the set went down, but the tweeted that she was making her ‘stand-up debut’ at the club.

However, she previously performed comedy on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, saying she enjoyed the 'simplicity' of the art form, and last year she opened for Schumer… so it looks as if she’s having her comedy career in reverse.
