He thinks the Odd Couple isn't coming back

Punching UpMatthew Perry found out the hard way that his US sitcom The Odd Couple has been cancelled.

Although there has been no official news on the fate of the CBS show since season three ended in January, the former Friends star thinks he spotted a small clue at the studio where it is filmed.

‘My face on The Odd Couple stage door has been painted over with green paint,’ the actor tweeted. ‘I think it's safe to assume that we have been cancelled. #subtle.’

The sitcom was the latest project based on Neil Simon's classic 1965 play to date, and has notably not been among the shows that the network has confirmed as returning.

Also among them is The Great Indoors, which stars Stephen Fry as an old-schools adventurer, running an outdoors magazine in a digital age.
