Rights sold to pay-TV service

Fleabag is heading to Japan.

Pay-TV service Wowow has bought the rights to both series of Phoebe Waller Bridge’s comedy, which started life on BBC Three after being a hit stage show,

Executive producer Sarah Hammond, of Two Brothers Pictures, said: ‘We strive to tell stories that are universally compelling and resonate with viewers all over the world, so it’s wonderful to see that these very different series are getting the chance to do just that.’
