Rowan Atkinson's spy returns in October

Johnny English Strikes Again has been given a US release date.

The third film in the Rowan Atkinson franchise will hit cinemas on October 26 – three weeks after its planned UK release.

His bumbling spy is not a massive draw in the States. The original 2003 film took $28million in the US compared to $132million everywhere else; and 2011's Johnny English Reborn took just $8million in the States, compared to $151million elsewhere.

Co-starring Ben Miller, Olga Kurylenko, Jake Lacy and Emma Thompson, the new film has English back in the field after a cyber-attack compromises all Britain's undercover agents.
