Comedy Central sets return date for Chris Ramsey Show

First guests also revealed

Comedy Central has confirmed that The Chris Ramsey Show will be returning on February 28, and given more details about its new format.

While last year’s first series was a general entertainment show with guests taking part in zany challenges, the new run will be a topical chat show.

Programme-makers Avalon – who’s management arm also represents Ramsey – say: ‘Each week Chris will take a look back at the weird and wonderful stories and viral content from the world of entertainment, celebrity and social media that have grabbed the nation’s attention and dissect the mayhem with the help of his two special guests who have joined him on the sofa.’

‘Chris will also be leaving his basement studio and dropping in on some big name movie stars at their latest film junkets.  And every week will see a celebrity take on a comedian as they face a head-to-head challenge at the end of the show.’

Guests scheduled to appear include comics Iain Stirling and Desiree Burch, Murder In Successville creator Tom Davis and rapper Example.

The first series of The Chris Ramsey Show premiered in January last year, launching with 170,000 viewers, but averaging 81,000 over the series. However, its audience was especially young, with 80 per cent aged 16 to 34.
