Series eight to launch next year
Ardal O’Hanlon is returning to Guadeloupe for an eighth series of crime drama Death in Paradise.
The comic plays DI Jack Mooney, taking over the central role from Kris Marshall at the end of last year’s run.
His first full series kicked off on Thursday January 4 with more than 8.2 million viewers, when catch-up viewing is consolidated, making it one of BBC One’s highest rating dramas.
The eighth series will return in early 2018.
