See new series of This Country before anyone else
Fans of BBC Three comedy This Country in Gloucestershire are being offered the chance to see the second series before anyone else.
A preview screening is to be held in Cirencester – ten miles from the Cotswold village of Northleach where the mockumentary is set – on Monday February 5.
Tickets are free and will be allocated through a ballot.
This Country is written by Gloucestershire-based siblings Daisy and Charlie Cooper, who play cousins Kerry and Lee 'Kurtan' Mucklowe and their lives in a typical village. Both are expected at the screening for a question-and-answer session hosted by BBC Points West’s Steve Knibbs along with producer Simon Mayhew-Archer and director Tom George.
Last month, the BBC stages a number of similar screening for its Christmas TV programmes including Doctor Who and League Of Gentlemen across the north of England, attracting more than 35,000 request for tickets.
The first series of This Country was watched more than four million times on BBC iPlayer, where it is still available as a box set.The second six-episode series is set to return to BBC Three in the spring
The ticket draw opens at 9am today and closes on 10pm on Sunday January 21. Register here: www.bbc.co.uk/showsandtours
