New act hunt open for entries

Entries have opened for Amused Moose Comedy's national new comic awards.

The competition is open to all new or 'newish' unsigned comedy performers including stand-ups, character comedians, spoken word and poetry, musical comedy, sketch, and speciality acts.

Interested acts need to send five-minute videos of themselves performing in a comedy club by the closing date of January 14.

No prize has been announced, but the final – at the Edinburgh Fringe – is usually attended by plenty of industry players.
