C4 buys second series of cult US comedy

Channel 4 has bright the second series of millennial mystery show Search Party for its on demand service All 4.

The cult comedy revolves around a group of four self-absorbed 20-somethings who come together when a former college acquaintance mysteriously disappears.

It features an ensemble of young comic actors including Alia Shawkat, John Early, John Reynolds, Meredith Hagner and Brandon Michael Hall.

Channel4 says: 'The return of Search Party will once again follow the achingly hip, impossibly narcissistic and hilariously deluded group of friends as they have to deal with not just a dead body, but personal recriminations their privileged Brooklyn life could never prepare them for.'

Series 2 will be available 'in the coming months', with series 1 already on the platform.
