Showtime to air Sam Bain's dark comedy

The BBC comedy Ill Behaviour has been sold to the States.

The premium cable network has bought the six-part series, written by Peep Show’s Sam Bain, to air from November.

It stars Chris Geere as a man who goes to extreme methods to get proper medical treatment to his friend Charlie, played by Tom Riley, when he abandons the chemotherapy treatment he is undergoing for his cancer

The show premiered on iPlayer earlier this year before being broadcast on BBC Two.

It also stars Lizzy Caplan as a doctor who’s also an alcoholic.

Bain described the show as a ‘wish fulfilment fantasy about two friends who break every social and legal boundary to rescue one of their best mates from his ill-advised life choices - with (hopefully) hilarious consequences’.

The comedy is set to premiere in the States at 10.30pm on November 13.
