Tickets on sale for Aberdeen Comedy Festival

50 shows in 11 days

Tickets for the Aberdeen Comedy Festival are now on sale.

The 11-day event, which kicks off on October 5, features 50 comedy shows from local, national an international acts.

Scottish comedian Fred MacAulay will return alongside other comedians, including Daliso Chaponda who reached the finals of Britain’s Got Talent this year, Justin Moorhouse, Gary Delaney, Andrew Maxwell and Shazia Mirza. And Canada’s Craig Campbell will headline the launch of the festival at the Lemon Tree.

Adrian Watson, chief executive of organisers Aberdeen Inspired, said: ‘There has been a fantastic buzz in the city since we announced that the festival would return for a second year. The first year of the festival was such an overwhelming success we expect a high demand for all of the shows.’

This year the festival is introducing comedy workshops and shows for children and young people - including a School of Comedy workshop for 12 to 18-year olds.
