Daniel Kitson announces Edinburgh shows

'Clunky' work in progress sessions

Daniel Kitson has announced some work in progress shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.

The sessions aim to tweak his existing stand-up show Something Other Than Everything before it opens at Manchester’s Royal Exchange theatre on August 31.

But in an email to subscribers, the comic warned that the shows ‘are going to be quite low quality’ and told fans not to change their plans just to see him.

He will be doing an hour at Stand One on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 10.20am to try disconnected sections that might fit into the show. Tickets for this go on sale at midday here.

Then there are two full-length runs of the show – which are ‘likely to be quite clunky’ and without his sound and light cues, at 10.30pm on Saturday and Sunday at  The Roundabout at Summerhall. Tickets, priced £5, went on sale at 10am here.

Kitson has just completed a three-week run of Something Other Than Everything at the Roundhouse in London. Read our review here.
