Edinburgh one-off for Nish Kumar

Part of a fundraiser for refugees

Nish Kumar has announced his only full-length Fringe show this year – as part of an all-day fundraiser to help save the lives of refugees taking the perilous trip across the Mediterranean.

The comic, and star of BBC Two’s new Mash Report, is one of several performers taking part in the takeover of Paines Plough Roundabout next Tuesday in support of Save The Children’s Rescue at Sea Appeal.

He will be performing a work-in-progress gig at 5pm, in a line-up that also includes Tommy Tiernan at 2pm, Jayde Adams at 6.30pm and The Royal Court’s Manwatching at 8pm – in which a male comedian reads details from woman’s sexual diaries, without having seen the script before.

Organiser  Shôn Dale-Jones said: ‘Feast of the Fest celebrates our desire to support refugees making their way across the Mediterranean Sea to safety.

‘While we are here at the Fringe there are people dying in the Mediterranean that we can help save - Feast of the Fest spends a day connecting us to people who are struggling to survive.’

Tickets to the shows are free and available here, with donations sought at the end
