Reported new show for BBC One

Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins are reportedly working on a new BBC sitcom. However, The Sun – which makes the claim today – gives no further details, save to say the comedy is 'in the development stage' and that the pair are 'likely' to both write and star in it. The BBC are keen to develop the comics as two of the faces of their entertainment output, following their decision to stay with the Corporation after Channel 4 poached Great British Bake Off. At the weekend it was announced that Mel and Sue would present a new version of the Generation Game.
