Daisy Haggard show is nominated for best comedy

Back To Life – in which Daisy Haggard plays as ex-con returning to her community – has been nominated for an International Emmy Award.

Haggard wrote the BBC show with former Perrier winner Laura Solon, and stars alongside  Adeel Akhtar as her budding love interest.

The six-part dark comedy also aired on Showtime in the US and is still available on iPlayer in the UK.

In the Emmy race, Back To Life  is up for best comedy against Israeli show Fifty, India’s Four More Shots Please and Brazil’s  Ninguém tá Olhando (Nobody’s Looking).

The winners will be announced at a ceremony in New York on November 23.
