Matt Berry spoofs Points Of View for a new charity campaign

With impressionists Lewis MacLeod and Morgana Robinson

Matt Berry and impressionists Lewis MacLeod and Morgana Robinson have made a series spoof TV shows to promote charity giving.

MacLeod impersonates Barry Took in the parodies of viewer feedback programme Points Of View.  But instead of featuring letters about the week’s TV, the Points Of You clips urge people to leave money to good causes in their will.

The series has been directed by Michael Cumming, who previously worked with Berry on Toast Of London, and is designed to promote Remember A Charity Week, which kicks off on Monday.

Berry said: ‘It’s been a lot of fun to bring a 1970/80s TV show back to life for Remember A Charity… It’s been a pleasure to have the freedom to create something as authentic and true to the time as this. It should truly bring a familiar smile to the faces of those that remember these classic shows portrayed and mentioned. More importantly, I hope it will also help some of the amazing causes Remember A Charity work with.’

Rob Cope, director of Remember A Charity added: ‘Being able to work with talent of the calibre of Matt Berry has enabled us to talk about gifts in wills in a whole new way, bringing nostalgic humour into our work in a way that we believe will really make our audience take notice.’

The campaign was created by Berry with creative agency Atomic London and produced by Moxie Pictures.

Here are all the sketches compiled into one clip.
