Wednesday April 10

LONDON: Obstetrician turned comedian turned bestselling author  Adam Kay headlines GynaeComedy!, a stand-up night in aid of cancer research charity The Eve Appeal at the Conway Hall tonight. The bill also includes Luisa Omielan, who experienced the NHS from the other side as her mother suffered an agonising death from cancer – and she felt the health service failed at every turn. Jen Brister, Shazia Mirza and Karen Hobbs, a comedian who works for the charity, are also performing.

LONDON: William Andrews returned to the Edinburgh Fringe last year after almost decade away with a show inspired by fatherhood as he tells stories from the sublime to the ridiculous, with a style that varied from the stupid to the profound. Here is our review from last summer, as the show starts a four-night run at Soho Theatre.

Friday April 12

COMBERTON: Cambridgeshire’s Custard comedy night celebrates its 10th anniversary at the leisure centre with a host of names off the telly: Paul Sinha from The Chase,  Jonny Awsum from Britain’s Got Talent, Zoe Lyons from Mock The Week and other panel shows, and Laura Lexx from Live At The Apollo.

BANGOR: It’s a hometown gig for Kiri Pritchard-McLean as she brings her acclaimed Victim, Complex show to the Pontico. The comic, who won two 2019 Chortle Awards, was raised on a farm in Anglesey and attended Ysgol Friars in Bangor.

Saturday April 13

LONDON: In the second final of the week, the Musical Comedy Awards will crown their winner at the Bloomsbury Theatre. Performing are Huge Davies (pictured), Joe Jacobs, Matt Hutson, Paul 'Silky' White, Brett Domino Trio, Katie Pritchard, Jamie Finn, Maris Piper, Louis Burgess and Nick Horseman
