Showbiz dates go on sale on Friday

Frank Skinner has announced his first tour in four years.

Showbiz will play 44 venues across the UK and Ireland from September 13 to December 11.

He announced the news during the ten-hour radio programme he hosted at the weekend to mark a decade of his Absolute Radio show.

Skinner has been performing some intimate work-in-progress shows this year, heralding his first new material since his 2014-5 tour Man In A Suit. However, he has performed unscripted nights at the Soho Theatre since then entitled The Man With No Show.

His stand-up career began in 1987 when he spent £400 of his last £435 booking a room at the Edinburgh Fringe. Four years later he returned to  beat fellow nominees Jack Dee and Eddie Izzard to take home the Perrier Award.
