And locks him in to a deal on other projects

Comedy Central has renewed The Jim Jefferies Show for a third season in the States.

The new run of the late-night satire aims for a more global approach, with the comedian travelling to East Asia, South Africa and his native Australia for the show.

Comedy Central has also signed the comic up for a first-look deal at any other projects he might be working on, as well as providing more online content.

Jefferies’s last three stand-up specials have aired on Netflix

In a statement, two of Comedy Central’s vice-presidents, Sarah Babineau and Jonas Larsen, said: ‘We love Jim's unfiltered, insightful, hilarious and global comedic perspective on the insane world we're living in right now. We are excited for him to continue to connect with our audience through The Jim Jefferies Show and other future projects that we develop together.’
