Filming starts on Scot Squad series 5

Six new episodes coming soon

Filming has just begun on the fifth series of Scot Squad.

Six half-hour episodes of BBC Scotland’s part-improvised,  mockumentary will be filmed over the summer.

On the first day, Chris Forbes and Ashley Smith reprised their roles as rural police partners PC Charlie McIntosh and PC Jane Mackay, while the rest of the cast, headed by Jack Docherty as  Chief Commissioner Miekelson, will also be returning.

Rab Christie, executive producer for The Comedy Unit says: ‘We are delighted to be shadowing the bravest law-enforcers on the planet and snatching footage of the bams who make the good guys do their best work.’

Also returning are Jordan Young, Sally Reid, Julie Wilson Nimmo, Louise McCarthy, Darren Connell, Graeme ‘Grado’ Stevely and Manjot Suma. Guest stars will be announced soon.
