The play launches at the Theatre Royal Bath on Wednesday October 31, before touring to Cambridge, Cardiff, Chichester and Malvern. It will then transfer to the West End, with venue and dates to be announced.
The Nightingales has been written by actor William Gaminara, best known for playing Leo Dalton in Silent Witness from 2002 to 2013 and Dr Richard Locke in The Archers.
Jones’s other acting credits include Jimmy McGovern's The Street, Steve Coogan’s Saxondale and as Hattie Jacques in the BBC Four film, Hattie, as well as her own Sky series, Stella.
