When is Hannah Gadsby's Nanette coming to Netflix?

Streaming giant names the date and releases a trailer

Hannah Gadsby's critically acclaimed stand-up show Nanette will launch on Netflix next month, the streaming award has announced.

The multi-award winning show, which was taped at the Sydney Opera House, will launch on June 19.

It was named best show at the Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Adelaide Fringe Festival, and scooped her a Chortle award and a best comedy performer accolade at Australia's Helpmann Award.

The show is currently playing off-Broadway at the SoHo Playhouse in New York, and she will perform two dates in Los Angeles on June 6 and 7 ahead of the Netflix release. Gadsby will then retire the show the following month with a swansong performance at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.

She then heads to the Edinburgh Fringe for a show about art history.

Netflix has released a trailer for the special, which gives nothing away about the content... save for the fact that the comic had to abandon plans to dedicate an hour's stand-up to an interesting woman called Nanette:
