Mrs Brown star Brendan O'Carroll to front new BBC panel show

...featuring a lot of his family, too

Mrs Brown’s Boys creator Brendan O’Carroll is to present a new panel show for BBC One… which naturally features some of his family.

And of course the title sounds a bit rude, too.

For Facts Sake will feature two teams captained by a rotating cast of Mrs. Brown’s Boys regulars, with the rest of the panel made up of members of the audience, invited down to join the game.

The teams will then try to ‘outfox each other with their fascinating facts and eye for true trivia’, according to the BBC.

O’Carroll says: ‘I’m really excited to be doing a show where I don’t have to wear a bra! When we did the pilot it was great fun, if we can capture that on the screen we are all in for a good time.’

Dan Baldwin, the managing director of programme-makers Hungry Bear Media, says: 'Brendan is incredibly bright, is the ultimate raconteur and has a hunger for exceptional facts and unbelievable historical truths. The show will put both his, and the audience’s, knowledge to the test with brilliantly funny rounds, games and videos that push the public firmly in the spotlight.’

O’Carroll’s son, daughter, sister, wife, grandson, daughter-in-law, son-in-law and sister-in-law all have roles in Mrs Brown’s Boys,

For Facts Sake will air later this year.
