Felicity Montagu to return in new series

Alan Partridge will have the support of his trusty – if long-suffering – personal assistant Lynn in his BBC comeback.

Steve Coogan tonight confirmed that  Felicity Montagu will be reprising her role on the forthcoming This Time With Alan Partridge when it launches on BBC One later this year.

The show will see Alan handed a career lifeline as the stand-in co-host of an evening weekday magazine programme similar to The One Show, mixing ‘highbrow interview and lightweight froth’.

Susannah Fielding will play his female co-presenter Jennie Gresham, and Tim Key will be reprising his role as Simon ‘formerly Sidekick Simon’ Denton. 

Further casting for the six half-hour episodes has yet to be announced.

Montagu’s return was announced at a BBC Worldwide showcase in Liverpool.
