New programmes available from today

Audiobook download service Audible has announced a new batch of series and podcasts featuring the likes of Sue Perkins, Nick Offerman and Danny Wallace.

Among 14 projects launched today are Live At The Edinburgh Fringe, featuring stand-up performances from Reginald D. Hunter, Mark Watson, Josie Long, Andrew Maxwell and Angela Barnes, among others.

In Sue Perkins’ Zoopedia, the former Bake Off host goes examines the animal kingdom, while What You Talkin’ About Wallace? features Danny Wallace chatting to guests including Tony Hale (Arrested Development, Veep), James Buckley (The Inbetweeners) and Rhys Darby (Flight Of The Conchords) 

In Nick Offerman’s Bed-time Stories For Cynics, the Parks & Recreation’s star introduces inappropriate children's stories for adults only – performed by comedians including David Spade, Wyatt Cenac and Natash Leggero.

Future shows will include a Mark Dolan chat show and Iain Lee’s Word Wars, in which the radio presenter discusses who’s the best in various pop culture genres. 

The shows – branded together as Audio Shows and available here – are free to Audible subscribers, but non-members can buy them.

Company executive Tracey Markham  said: "Audio is booming and we couldn’t be more thrilled to bring such an array of gripping, funny and insightful shorter listens to audio lovers across the country.’
