Comedian is the first to leave show

Shappi Shappi Khorsandi last night become the first star to be eliminated from this season of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The comedian came bottom of the public vote and was evicted from the jungle.

She burst into tears as she left, saying: ‘The comedienne appeared relieved to be out of the camp. 'I missed my children like crazy.’

Khorsandi, 44, had to leave behind her two children, Genevieve. four, and Cassius, ten, to join the 17th season of the ITV show.

Afterwards, she tweeted: ‘Out of Narnia! My fam weren't there to meet me as my baby girl has high temp. Cuddled up with my babies now. What a blast but SO happy to be out! Big love and luck to my campmates.’

After she emerged from the camp she told hosts Ant and Dec, 'I think I got off lightly!’ when it came to gruesome trials. Her biggest challenge was the tandem parachute jump that got her into the camp in the first place two weeks ago.. She also had to swim fully-clothed through a lake

She added: ‘I’m really relieved to be out, I feel like I had the most incredible experience and I’ll never forget it. And I’m gonna see the guys when they come out, so there’s no point missing people that you’re gonna see again.

‘I only got bitten by about 100,000 ants and some people had it a lot worse… Oh man it was amazing.’
