...and Jeff Dunham reveals two arena dates

Chris Ramsey has announced a 2018 tour, based around the struggles of raising a small child.

He has announced 40 shows next summer – plus his second ever area gig in his hometown of Newcastle in November.

Some tickets for the tour, The Just Happy To Get Out Of The House Tour, went on sale from 10am today - check the schedule and get box office links here.

Fans who buy tickets before midnight on Sunday will also get a link to a free download of his last show, Is That…Chris Ramsey, recorded at Newcastle’s Metro Arena earlier this year.

Promoters Avalon say that in the new tour: ‘Chris sets out the rules of modern existence for his infant son. Expect: fatherhood, following your dreams, how to be a gentleman, the slow slow pain of death and the slow slow pain of slow cookers’.

This year Ramsey has hosted both his own show and Stand Up Central on Comedy Central, and he previously presented I'm A Celebrity: Extra Camp.

Ramsey is not the only comic to announce 2018 UK dates this morning.

Phenomenally successful ventriloquist Jeff Dunham has announced that he is bringing his Passively Aggressive tour to the Birmingham Genting Arena on May 19 and Wembley Arena on May 20. The first tickets go on sale at midday today here – priced £53.25 for the London date.

And fellow US comic Sara Schaefer is bringing her new show, Little White Box, to the Soho Theatre for two weeks from March 19, following her Edinburgh debut last year.
