Calman cast adrift after nautical number

Susan bottom of the Strictly leaderboard again

Susan Calman has come bottom of the Strictly Come Dancing leaderboard for the second week running.

She and dance partner Kevin Clifton scored just 22 points from judges, six points adrift from sixth placed Gemma Atkinson and partner Alijaz Skorjanec.

They will be hoping the public voting will save them, as it did last week.

Tonight they performed an American smooth to Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin. The dance was set on the deck of a ship, with Kevin as the captain and Susan as a passenger

Judge Craig Revel Horwood criticised the 'gapping, feet never closed, plonky and lost timing but it was quite sweet'.

Darcey Bussell said the dance was 'charming [with] a glimmer of Hollywood films,' but said it 'needed more sweeping lines'.

Shirley Ballas said the 'cheekiness and entertainment factor [were] outstanding, but needed much more technique'.

The pair also took part in a 'paso doblathon', in whic  all surviving seven couples took to the floor simultaneously. They came bottom of that, too, adding just one point to their total.
