American comedian Mindy Kaling is working on a US adaptation of Four Weddings And A Funeral for TV

An anthology series of hour-long episodes inspired by the the 1994 Richard Curtis movie is being developed for the Hulu on-demand service.

Curtis will be an executive producer on the series, Hollywood website Deadline reports, alongside Paling and Matt Warburton, the former Simpsons writer who also executive producer her Fox comedy series The Mindy Project.

The website reports that  Hulu will decided whether to make a series early next year.
