Louis CK's 'secret' film

Comic's black-and-white feature revealed

Louis CK has ‘secretly’ shot a feature film which will premiere next month.

The comedian directed and stars in the black-and-white film, I Love You, Daddy, in which he plays a successful television producer and writer.

Chloë Grace Moretz will play his daughter in a cast that also includes John Malkovich, Helen Hunt, Rose Byrne, and Pamela Aldon will also appear.

Little is known about the film, which will debut at the Toronto Film Festival in September. It runs for 123 minutes, and the full blurb from the festival website says only: ‘Shot on 35mm in black and white, Louis CK's I Love You, Daddy was filmed entirely in secret.’

CK has directed several comedy specials and TV shows in recent years, but this is the first feature film he's directed since 2001’s  blaxploitation spoof Pootie Tang.
