The Mash Report got off to a slow start in the ratings last night,

Fronted by Nish Kumar, BBC Two’s topical show attracted 800,000 viewers at 10pm – 20 per cent down on the slot average.

However, it did attract favourable reviews. The Daily Telegraph  called it ‘the most promising satirical arrival on our screens in a long time’ and at Chortle we said it was ‘a successful home-grown take on the format’.

However, it divided Twitter, attracting the full range of opinions from ‘shite’ to ‘loving it’.

The show, made by Princess Production, featured a raft of comedians including Rachel Parris, Andrew Hunter Murray, Ellie Taylor and Steve N Allen.
