Fresh Off The Bloat tour hits this winter

Margaret Cho has announced a short UK tour for the winter.

The US comedian will be playing seven dates, starting on November  25 at Edinburgh’s Queens Hall and culminates at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire on December 10.

Her new tour is called Fresh Off The Bloat, and she said: ‘This is my sickest show to date.

‘ y grandmother said, "You look bloated, as if you've been found dead in a lake after several days of searching." Koreans are the most savage of all the Asians.

‘My new show is all about being fresh off drugs and drinking and suicide and coming back to life - finally fished out of the river Styx. It's meta. It's magical. It's me.’

Cho is also currently piloting a new show for America’s TNT network, entitled Highland. The comedy will chronicle what happens when two extended, dysfunctional Korean-American families come together after tragedy strikes.

She also took over as co-host of E!’s red-carpet Fashion Police last year following the death Joan Rivers. Of that job, she says: ‘Although I am not quite a fashionista, I would love to look at it like I am changing it up – Fashion Police: Special Victims Unit.’

Saturday November 25: Edinburgh Queens Hall
Tuesday November 28Bristol St George’s Concert Hall
Wednesday November 29: Birmingham  Glee Club
